Day of Sobriety
-rey

A break into reality.
Whoa! The real feeling of gravity.
A better sense of direction,
Goodbye fourth dimension!

Leaps and bounds I take
But no broken glasses in my wake.
A clear path lays in front of me
And my steps! I’ve made more than three!

A day of sobriety
Crystal and crisp as can be.
Renewing and refreshing
Reinvigorating and liberating.

But my mansions, where are my mansions?!
Oh, what happened to my billions?!
My dear, you’re the ugliest I’ve ever seen!
And might I ask, where is your twin?

I think I need a drink.

...just passing through.

Passing Through
-rey

Another morning, another day.
Just passing through, coming by your way.
A little wave just to say hi.
Hoping for a chance to see you smile.

Passing through, killing time,
But savoring this moment like vintage wine.
Passing through I see skies clear and blue,
In your aura I find one more reason to live life anew.

Passing through, stretching out.
Relieving stress without a doubt.
Hoping for a word, a nod, a glance,
Or hear you call my name by chance.

Another morning, another day.
Just passing through, coming by your way.
A little wave just to say hi.
Hoping for a chance to see you smile.
